The year was 1946 and this is where F10, the Air Force of Skåne was formed after the Second World War. As late as July 2002 one could still hear the engines of JAS Gripen roar over the area.
Today there is a soothing calm surrounding Valhall Park. This is where, deeply embedded in green foliage you find Hotel & Conference Flottiljen. The hotel was built in 1997 to accommodate mostly foreign fighter pilots on education in Sweden and F10.
The hotel has recently been redecorated and offers 28, fresh, non-smoking rooms. All rooms have private showers, WC, cable-TV and high-speed Internet connection.
Today the nearby Officer 's mess with its lovely environment and traditional atmosphere serves as a ballroom. During spring and summer this is the perfect surrounding for a romantic wedding or party.
